NSW HIKES

These programs provide a morning or afternoon hiking adventure at any one of a dozen compelling and beautiful locations within San Diego County. From Torrey Pines State Reserve and Los Batiquitos Lagoon on the coast, to the inland Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve and Otay Valley Regional Park and myriad other open space areas, our team of engaging and accomplished Navy SEAL, SWCC or other military Instructor-Guides take guests on fun and educational hikes of varying topographies and natural environments. All hike programs are customized to the desires of the client group, and can be modified to increase or decrease the physical nature of the activity. None of our programs are hard-core bivouac or mountaineering sessions, so guests don’t need to worry that the program will be difficult or grueling. These hikes are all about FUN!

Program Elements:

Hikes can be crafted to last as little as an hour (out and back), or up to three or more hours if desired. We keep an average ratio of one SEAL/SWCC or other Military Instructor to a maximum of 10 guests. This ensures personalized experiences and interactions with every guest. For larger groups, we can designate Teams and include fun competition elements within the hike program. 

Gear:

Authentic US Navy rucksacks that have seen service around the world, equipped with bottled water or Gatorade and energy bars are provided to all guests who wish to carry one, adding a realistic element to the activity. Those who strap on a rucksack know that they are carrying the essentials not just for themselves, but for their team members as well. And one guest from each group is always tasked with carrying the First-Aid/Med-Kit backpack that we include on every hike. 

Valuable Information:

Our Instructors can brief and teach guests about basic hiking/outing protocol, being prepared for the unexpected, easy to remember survival techniques all hikers should know and more. Since we fully customize all programs, the content can be adjusted to fit the desires of the client.  

Everything is Included:

All gear, hydration, snacks, rucksacks, permits and insurance are included in our hike programs. 

Video and Pictures:

Our team members can video the hike event, and a client-branded video can be produced and provided to the client. 

Requirements:

The maximum number of guests for any hike program is dependent upon any limitations placed by the venue or property administrators. Reservations are highly recommended, especially for any programs that involve city, county or state properties. Some venues, (such as Torrey Pines State Reserve) require that their docent(s) accompany group hikes. All participants must sign and abide by a standard comprehensive waiver and release of liability.
